About Gauntleys of Nottingham
Gauntleys of Nottingham is a fourth generation family business. Founded in 1880 by Thomas Fox Gauntley, the shop was situated along the historic Long Row in the centre of Nottingham. In 1962 business moved to its current address in the Exchange Arcade.
In 1985 one of the first 'Walk-in' Cigar Humidors was built, designed to keep, store and display fine cigars in perfect conditions. In this time the business diversified in to fine wines and malt whiskies but still remains faithful to its roots in hand-blended pipe tobaccos, smoker requisites and fine cigars.
The business is now owned by John Gauntley who took over the day to day running from his father Michael in 1985.
