Tasting notes
Glynn Quelch (Gauntleys)
For a while this mellow Balkan mixture had no name. It was blended prior to the First World War for Rev. Dr. John White and was soon picked up by Earl Balwin (Prime Minister in 1923, 1924 & 1935) who enjoyed it so much he became a regular smoker and suggested it be called "Presbyterian Mixture". The blend is still the same now nearly a century later, the blend comprises of Virginia, a little oriental and Latakia. Result is light Balkan mixture ideal for people wish to try Balkan blends or for those who only like latakia is small doses.
