Tasting notes
Glynn Quelch (Gauntleys)
I love this tobacco, it sits very high up in my "Favourites Lists". The balance between the sweet Virginias & Cavendish combined with Latakia is perfect, rich and full flavoured but without being a powerhouse.
Samuel Gawith Website - "Scotch Cut Mixture is one of the original Samuel Gawith blends. A balanced selection of Virginias, Burley, Latakia and our own Empire Black Cavendish gives Scotch Cut a full flavoured yet medium strength smoking experience."

Extract from my review - "The tobacco packs easily and lights with a match or two, even when its this damp. Leaving the tobacco to dry in the pipe for a few hours, makes lighting easier too. As soon as you do get a bowl going you are greeted with Latakia both in aroma and flavour. While not being too strong with flavours, thanks too the generous helpings of smooth and creamy Cavendish. The burley and Virginias give the blend a sweet side, any English/Scotch blend smoker would enjoy."
