Sam Leccia initially created the Nub range, these small cigars are designed to hit the sweet spot very early in the cigar. The use of Nicaraguan filler, with varying wrappers to produce a range of styles. Even though these cigars may seem small, they contain a lot of tobacco and smoke slowly. The style is now being copied by a number of factories outside of Cuba.
Not only did Sam Leccia break the mould with the Nub cigars, he turned his attention to Ligero. Ligero leave grows at the very top of the plant, with constant exposure to the sun. The result is a thick and very strong leaf. The cain cigars are primarily made up from Ligero, grown in 3 Nicaraguan regions. All wrapped in either Maduro or Nicaragua wrappers.
