Andalusian Bull - Cigar Of The Year 2016
NOW IN STOCK
Back in December 2016 the La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull was awarded the Cigar Of The Year award in Cigar Aficionado magazine. As in previous years, the cigar was not previously available in the UK so it has taken a bit of time and a huge amount of negotiation to get it across to this side the pond.
The Andalusian Bull has risen to prominence within a very, very short space of time as it was only released in the summer of 2016. This is a very attractive looking cigar that has perfect curves and lines and a very silky looking skin. The shape is unusual too, being a Salomones as they are called in the factory where they are made, and they are BIG, measuring 6 and a half inches in length by 64 ring guage.
Made by Litto Gomez, a Spanish National raised in Uruguay, Litto is one of the few cigar makers who does not have any family heritage in the tobacco industry. Before coming into the tobacco industry he worked in the jewellery industry, but when things started to go wrong he decided on a different tact and took up cigar making. Since 1994 Litto has developed and honed his skills and I guess now, he has reached the pinnacle of his career.
La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull - Single
Scoring an impressive 96pts in Cigar Aficionado and winning the coveted 'Cigar Of The Year award for 2016, the Andalusian Bulls are bold and savoury with strong notes of hickory and leather. A spiciness develops in mid-palate whilst a tangy citrus note lifts the whole ensemble together perfectly.
These are not only impressive to look at they are impressive to smoke as well being hugely complex and soundly built with an impressive, almost 2 hour smoke time.
