In an effort to create a little bit of space so that we can get our festive season stock in, we have taken the opportunity to clear a few items from our stocks. Some we have even reduced in price a tad! All have very limited availability and some may show a little bit of wear and tear (but all should smoke perfectly!). We will keep adding to this list, so keep checking in to see what is available.
The cigar smoking world championship takes place, normally on a yearly basis, however the last year has been a tad difficult!
If you would like to 'test' yourself, why not purchase one of these and see how long you can smoke it for without letting it go out!
Smooth but with enough flavours to please any fan of Punch, Ramon Allones or Vegas Robainia. The balance of smooth cool smoke along with the earthy flavours makes for a fantastic smoke. I know these slender long cigars have lost popularity over the years but this cigar is something many people are missing.
Box Date 1998
A rich and powerful smoke made up from a secret blend of filler tobaccos wrapped in a Sumatra wrapper grown in Ecuador. Packed full of smooth dark spice, coffee and peppery flavours with a slight dark fruit note. Lingering sweetness on the the long finish.
The EPC Short Run 2016, as the name implies, this is a limited run cigar, usually released in a couple different sizes in each 'vintage'. The 2016 edition was however only produced in the Toro size and was limited to only 2500 boxes of 10.
'Enrobed in a gorgeous, matte-brown wrapper, this toro layers the palate with notes of earth and leather atop a woody, spicy core and a touch of cherry on the finish.'
92 points Cigar Aficionado 2016
Slightly more full-bodied than some of the other EPC cigars, but loaded with flavour and complexity. Good intensity in mid-palate with some woody, spice notes along with a delicious, sweetish note on the edge. Very tasty indeed!
The EPC Rebellious Robusto Maduro is another masterpiece that uses primarily Nicaraguan filler tobacco's to produce a more medium bodied smoke that has some sweet earthy characteristics going through it.
A moderately full-bodied cigar that has a gorgeous Ecuadorean wrapper with a stunning Nicaraguan filler. The Maverick is a big format size Robusto which allows the smoke to develop as you smoke down the stick. Although this starts off with some quite woody notes, it soon develops sweetness and an almost silky texture.
One of the most powerful cigars we offer. Each cigar is aged for 5 years before being released. The jet black smooth maduro wrapper adds extra spicy edge to an already complex array of flavours. On lighting this cigar you are greeted with a blast of peppery flavours which subdue a little as more woody, coffee bean flavours come through, but the peppery & spicy flavours make up the bulk. The occasional sweet undertone makes itself present from time to time, the nicotine content of this cigar is very high. A cigar for the experienced smoker only.
A Cousin of the cigar of the year for 2014. Using the same exquisite blend of tobaccos as the Figurados this Double Toro size will supply you with one of the best, long smokes on the planet!
One of Americas biggest premoium selling cigars. Hand made in Nicaragua by former (pre revoution) tobacco farming legends Jose Padron & his family. Since this time they have perfected a number blends, using a vast array tobaccos. That have been grown, cured & matured using traditional and modern methods.
The fruits of this love for the leaf can tasted in this amazing cigar, wrapped in a textured Maduro leaf. The cigar has some wonderful earthy & nutty flavours, all finsihed off with a deep sweet chocolatey edge. Hints of spice and coffee develope in the later stages, resulting a complex smoking experience.
One of the finest New World cigars.
Medium-full is the key to tasting the various flavours in these much sought after cigars. Rich, deep, and well-balanced for a true 'taste' of Nicaragua.
One review said, ''The draw imparts copious amount of lush and exotic smoke''. For Alec Bradley, its pure Nicaragua!
An old Cuban brand and one that is maybe not as well known as it should be. Medium weight in terms of body and quite savoury too on the palate these tend to lack the sweetness that some other brands display.
In 1996 the Rubin family sold their hardware business so that Alan Rubin could invest in and launch a new cigar company called Alec Bradley. Initially the business concentrated on producing cigars for golf clubs and flavoured cigars for those looking for something after dinner. Very niche. After several faltering starts, Alec Bradley achieved it's major breakthrough with the introduction of the 'Tempus' range.
The cigars were very well received by cigar smokers and gained an almighty 94/100 rating from the Cigar Aficionado publication. From this point on, it was one success story after another, culminating in the 'Prensado' gaining the coveted No.1 spot in Cigar Aficionado! The 'Tempus' cigars are deeply flavoured, with stunning intensity and tremendous length on the finish and are no shrinking violets. They are a wonderful smoke and need to be given the Tempus they deserve!
Madrigal Picador cigars are handmade by tabaquero masters who guarantee a special creation, using the finest and perfect aged tobaccos of San Andres. An every day affordable cigar, maximum flavour, medium bodied and value for money price. The Madrigal Picador cigars guarantee quality with an outstanding smoke at a great price.
The filler tobaccos are aged for 3 years prior to construction of the cigar, Viso being sourced from Esteli Nicaragua and Maduro from the San Andres. Maduro is also used for the Binder tobaccos which again is s=ourced from San Andreas. The cigars are carefully wrapped in San Andres Maduro Colorado wrappers and look absolutely gorgeous.
The Unico's must be about the most beautiful cigars that I have ever seen. These Solomones are not only good to look at, but each cigar has a unique design. No two cigars are the same and as each box has a unique configuration. Limited to only 4,000 boxes world wide, these awesome cigars are not going to be around for long.
The Damaso is a brand new release from Padron, a cigar producer typically renowned for producing top quality but full bodied sticks, but in this instance, they have gone for a more medium bodied approach. Still unmistakably Padron as the flavours are quite intense, yet these are they rounded and show perfect balance, with a long finish. Jose Padron, who makes these cigars, named these after his grandfather Damaso who was the first Padron to arrive in Cuba from the Canary Islands sometime in the late 1800's.
The No.2 cigar in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 for 2017. The following text comes from Cigar Aficionado themselves and the article itself can be found here
''It's important to consider Padrons resume before lighting up this resplendent cigar. Padron has been named Cigar of the Year three times (the current record holder). The Serie 1926 cigar has occupied the No. 2 spot twice. And a Padron cigar has been in the top 10 ever since Cigar Aficionado has been handing out its Cigar of the Year Awards (since 2004). So the Padron Serie 1926 No. 2 is more than merely a great cigar - It's a legacy of achievement backed by years of consistency.
The Serie 1926 is named for the birth year of company founder and patriarch Jose Orlando Padron, who died at the age of 91 on December 5. It's an all-Nicaraguan blend and one of the most powerful, full-bodied cigars in the entire Padron portfolio. But Padron is meticulous in its blending - if the tobacco is strong, it will also show elegance and sophistication.
Every puff of the No. 2 reflects this marriage of power and grace from the delightfully earthy core to its rich coffee bean character, all accented by a sweet, underlying woodiness and black tea finish. The smoke is dense, the draw perfect and the cigar emblematic of the inimitable Padron style Jose Orlando Padron perfected over 53 years of making cigars''.
