Filthy Hooligans Are Back!
After a long, two-year hiatus, we are pleased to announce that the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligans have made their long-awaited re-appearance just in time for St Patrick's Day.
For those of you who are new to the cigar scene or have never had the opportunity to see them, the Filthy Hooligans are visually striking and stunning in the flavour department and come in two versions, both of which we have noted below. They are also released in very small quantities, so are usually sold out by middle to late March.
The Filthy Hooligans were created with St Patrick's Day in mind, hence the use of the green Candela wrapper leaf. Although there are many other barber pole effect cigars on the market these days, the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligans were among the first to be available in the early 2010's. These were followed several years later by the Shamrocks. Stylistically they are both quite bold in terms of the flavours and each cigar will give an hour or so of consummate smoking pleasure making them the ideal cigar to celebrate St Patrick's Day with.
Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock Tri-Colour Toro 2025 - Single
The Alec Bradley Shamrocks are even more attractive to look at as they are dressed in not one, not two, but three different wrapper leaves - a Candela, a Habano Maduro and a Habana Seco, all three of which are grown in Honduras. The remainder of the blend is a closely kept secret and is only known to a select few. The cigars are rolled at Plasencia’s Tabacos de Orente S.A factory in Honduras
Again this is moderately full-bodied on the palate with a distinct, earthy, spiciness to them, but comes across to me as more leathery on the finish. Like the Bi-Colour version, this is very limited, so be quick!
Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan 2025 Barber Pole (Limited Release) - Single
Alec Bradley’s annual St Patrick’s Day cigar, the Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole is back for 2025! This marks the tenth spring release of the limited edition Hooligan series. The popular blend features a subtle Candela wrapper intertwined with a dark Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper leaf adding a rich flavour to accentuate the more delicate notes of the green leaf. Underneath the dual wrappers is a complex blend of long filler Honduran and Panamanian tobaccos, held together by a flavourful Sumatran binder. The Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole is a 6 x 50 Toro and a limited number of boxes are available for global distribution.
