Cuban Cigars And Malt Whisky - 31st March 2021 - Option 2 - 2 cigars and 2 whiskies - Pack of 2
After a delay of a month or two, we are finally in a position to get started with our 2021 cigar tasting events, and what better way to start than with a Cuban evening.
We are also pleased to say that this will be our first Cuban cigar event since before the first lockdown back in March. Blessed with the perfect climate for the growing and processing of tobacco, Cuba is world-renowned for producing the worlds best and greatest cigars. Many of the Iconic brands such as Romeo Y Julieta, Montecristo, Bolivar, H Upmann and of course the legendary Cohiba all emanate from this beautiful island.
Our Cuban evening will be held on the 31st March on the ZOOM platform and will start at 7pm. We are offering two options for the evening and this is option two!
There will be two wonderful cigars to try, first of which will be the Quai D'Orsay No.50 (rrp £18.80) which is a wonderfully smooth and elegant cigar. The second cigar, which is the Ramon Allones Specially Selected (rrp £21.50), has a little more impact being quite full-bodied robust. Both measure 5 by 50 (Robusto sized) and will offer up quite a contrast when tried side by side. Each cigar will be paired with a different single malt whisky (40mls of each) The Quai D'Orsay will be paired with the Starward Nova from Australia, whilst The Ramon Allones will be paired with Ardbeg 10 Years
We will be joined by Tim Owen from Hunters, who I am sure many of you know. we will also be joined by Jose A Cejas Diaz who is the corporate director at Hunters. you may also have sussed that he is Cuban, so he has plenty of insights into the Cuban cigar industry. Finally, our very own malt whisky guru, Chris Goodrum will also be on hand to discuss, in-depth, the whiskies.
The evening is priced at £32.95 per person. The cigars and whiskies will start to be dispatched on Monday 22nd March, however, if you wish to save the postage you can collect from the store from this date also. Places are very limited, so please book your spot now
DELIVERY
UK delivery
We use Royal Mail which normally arrives the next working day if you order before 2pm, although this is not guaranteed. To guarantee that your order does arrive by 1pm the next day please call the shop on 01159 110555 to arrange. Your order will be then sent out by Special Delivery. There will be a small extra additional charge for this service. The standard delivery cost is shown in the basket page and in the checkout.
Click and collect
You can click and collect from our Nottingham shop. Select click and colllect in the checkout to save the delivery cost, pay online prices (which can sometimes be lower) and check your items are available before heading into town.
Pre delivery check
We check all cigars before they are sent out. Loose cigars are packaged in a humi-pouch designed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Packets of cigars are opened to check that the cigars are in the correct condition, re-sealed then sent using a special padded envelope.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you will need to contact your local customs office if you require further information.
