Cuban Cigar Evening Wednesday July 13th - Single
2 cigars over 4 hours in fantastic company and lots of witty banter!
For our July cigar event, we focus on the Cigars of Cuba. Blessed by the perfect growing conditions for tobacco in the perfect climate, Cuba has a long history of cigar production stretching back almost 200 years. Over this period there have been several revolutions and periods of great hardship, but the lifeblood of the people shines through in the products that they make.
We will have not one, but two, guest speakers on the night. Our first guest is Tim Owen from Hunters & Frankua, the UK importer of Cuban cigars. Many of you who are regulars to our cigar evenings will know Tim well for his knowledgable and relaxed presentations.
We also welcome, for the first time, Jose Diaz, the Habanos SA representative and Corporate Director for the UK. Habanos SA is responsible for the production, distribution and marketing of Habanos cigars worldwide and Jose is responsible for the UK. This will be a great opportunity to ask a multitude of questions about the Cuban cigar industry and Cuba in general. It is not often that we get this opportunity, so best make hay whilst the sun shines!
The featured Cigars for this event will be the Vegueros Centrofinos (rrp £23.70) and the Montecristo Linea 1935 Dumas (rrp £39.40). A stunning lineup I am sure that you will agree. The evening will start at 7pm on the 13th of July and will be held at the Trent Navigation, Meadow Lane, Nottingham.

In the event that you are a no-show at any of the events, your cigars will be kept safe for you to collect from the shop. If you wish them mailed out to you please call us on 01159 110555 to arrange. There will be a small extra charge for this.
If you wish to bring along any non-smoking, non-paying guests you are more than welcome, HOWEVER, it is very important that you check with us on the above number BEFORE ATTENDING. Sometimes space is at a premium and it may not always be possible to have extra people attending, but we will try to accommodate where possible.
If we need to cancel an event for whatever reason we will of course offer to move you on to the next available cigar evening or offer a full refund.
DELIVERY
UK delivery
We use Royal Mail which normally arrives the next working day if you order before 2pm, although this is not guaranteed. To guarantee that your order does arrive by 1pm the next day please call the shop on 01159 110555 to arrange. Your order will be then sent out by Special Delivery. There will be a small extra additional charge for this service. The standard delivery cost is shown in the basket page and in the checkout.
Click and collect
You can click and collect from our Nottingham shop. Select click and colllect in the checkout to save the delivery cost, pay online prices (which can sometimes be lower) and check your items are available before heading into town.
Pre delivery check
We check all cigars before they are sent out. Loose cigars are packaged in a humi-pouch designed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Packets of cigars are opened to check that the cigars are in the correct condition, re-sealed then sent using a special padded envelope.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you will need to contact your local customs office if you require further information.
