Christmas Cigar Evening - December 4th 2019 - Single
This is the one, our big pre-Christmas cigar event, which will be held at Alto in the Cornerhouse in Nottingham City Centre and will commence at 7 pm. This event is always extremely well attended so numbers will be capped. As this is our last cigar event of 2019, we are going out in style and are going for 2 quite big format cigars. The two featured producers are Balmoral Cigars from Nicaragua and La Flor Dominicana from the Dominican Republic.
Balmoral featured on one of our first tastings of the year with their Anejo XO Masivo, so it felt right that we should have another of their stunning cigars. Using primarily aged tobaccos for their cigar production, the Balmoral style is one of elegance and maturity. For this event, I have opted to taste the Balmoral Gran Perfecto FT Edicion Limitada 2018 (rrp £24.95) of which there are only 100 boxes are available for the whole of the UK! Measuring 5 x 60 this is a big cigar, but one which smokes quite elegantly.
Our second featured producer is La Flor Dominicana from the Dominican Republic. Owned by Litto Gomez, who is an award-winning producer who won the coveted 'Cigar Of The Year' trophy in 2017 for the 'Andalusian Bull' (rrp £31.43). Well, we couldn't try the Bull at the time as demand had far outstripped supply. Two years downline and the situation hasn't changed that much, however, I have managed to source some extra stock so we will finally be tasting the 'Bull' at this cigar evening!
Due to lack of availablity of the cigars, numbers of attendees for this evening will be capped at 45

All places sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Cancellations can be accepted up until 5.30 pm on the day of the event. You must be in attendance on the night to receive the cigars as we can no longer accept payment in lieu of attending. It is your responsibility to note the correct date, time and location of the event as we will not accept any responsibility for any subsequent loss. In the event of us having to move or cancel an event, we will endeavour to contact you at the earliest opportunity.
DELIVERY
UK delivery
We use Royal Mail which normally arrives the next working day if you order before 2pm, although this is not guaranteed. To guarantee that your order does arrive by 1pm the next day please call the shop on 01159 110555 to arrange. Your order will be then sent out by Special Delivery. There will be a small extra additional charge for this service. The standard delivery cost is shown in the basket page and in the checkout.
Click and collect
You can click and collect from our Nottingham shop. Select click and colllect in the checkout to save the delivery cost, pay online prices (which can sometimes be lower) and check your items are available before heading into town.
Pre delivery check
We check all cigars before they are sent out. Loose cigars are packaged in a humi-pouch designed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Packets of cigars are opened to check that the cigars are in the correct condition, re-sealed then sent using a special padded envelope.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you will need to contact your local customs office if you require further information.
