Rocky Patel is undoubtedly one of the most famous names in the cigar industry and has consistently produced amazing, quality cigars for over 30 years. If you have ever tried the likes of the Sixty, the Disciple and the Edge, to name but three, you will know what I am talking about. All are amazing cigars.
In these more cost-conscious times, getting in-expensive cigars from big-name producers can be a little more tricky. With the recent introduction of the Seed To Smoke range Rocky steps up to the plate to offer great smokes at the more affordable end of the price spectrum.
There are currently two different Seed To Smoke cigars available in the UK and both are Toro-sized (6 x 52) so roughly an hour each in terms of smoke time. Both variants are blended and hand-rolled at Rocky's factories in Honduras.
Rocky Patel Seed To Smoke Shade Toro (rrp £13.50)
This mixed filler blend utilises a wonderful selection of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers from Rocky’s top tobaccos bunched in a Honduran binder. The cigars a wrapped in a gorgeous Honduran Connecticut Shade wrapper which produces a little bit of prickly spice along with a soft, gentle sweetness.
Rocky Patel Seed To Smoke Maduro Toro (rrp £13.50)
Although utilising a similar blend to the Seed To Smoke Shade Toro, the Maduro version is notably more earthy and leathery in style and has a little more body, making it closer to a more medium-bodied smoke. Less of a spicy note on this one, but it still has a great flavour.
