1573 Cigars is pleased to announce that due to popular demand, the highly anticipated 2025 release of the Highclere Castle Senetjer will commence U.K. shipping on the 10th of March 2025.
Crafted as a 6 ¾ x 52 Perfecto, this annual release uses undisclosed tobaccos of a previously unseen quality, leading to a truly unique, transcendental experience across the complete palate. This tobacco is almost never available for use in commercial cigars. Truly a jewel in the storied stable of Foundation, this quality can only be seen when blended by the person with the greatest connections and deepest understanding in the cigar tobacco world, Nicholas Melillo.
But at it’s core, the Senetjer celebrates something truly earth shattering. One hundred years past, through the misty sands of time, Lord Carnarvon left Highclere Castle for the ancient valleys of Egypt, armed with his beloved cigars. He, along with archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamun, hidden from mortal eyes for three thousand years.
The Highclere Castle Senetjer graciously commemorates the centenary of this momentous archaeological discovery. The Senetjer embodies its namesake as the purest of ancient incense, as the essence of that that is holy, as a true expression of that that is sacred. The astounding box, carefully created in conjunction with Egyptologists, is a direct replica of a storage box from the tomb of King Tutankhamun, bringing the eternal redemption and restoration of the Field of Reeds to your own sacred humidor.
There were just 14 boxes of 12 sticks available to U.K. retailers due to the extremely small number produced, and these were allocated on a first-come basis with one box allocated per shop.

DELIVERY
UK delivery
We use Royal Mail which normally arrives the next working day if you order before 2pm, although this is not guaranteed. To guarantee that your order does arrive by 1pm the next day please call the shop on 01159 110555 to arrange. Your order will be then sent out by Special Delivery. There will be a small extra additional charge for this service. The standard delivery cost is shown in the basket page and in the checkout.
Click and collect
You can click and collect from our Nottingham shop. Select click and colllect in the checkout to save the delivery cost, pay online prices (which can sometimes be lower) and check your items are available before heading into town.
Pre delivery check
We check all cigars before they are sent out. Loose cigars are packaged in a humi-pouch designed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Packets of cigars are opened to check that the cigars are in the correct condition, re-sealed then sent using a special padded envelope.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you will need to contact your local customs office if you require further information.
