Nicaraguan Rum + Drew Estate Cigar Evening - Wednesday 18th August - Single
THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT
If it's August, it must be Nicaragua, and our Nicaraguan-themed night will not only feature two stunning cigars made by Drew Estate, but we will also be doing a little Rum tasting too!
The featured cigar producer will be the legendary and incredibly innovative Drew Estate. Founded in 1998 by Jonathan Drew, they are possibly more well known for the ACID brand which really is huge in the States, but for me, it's their more 'traditionally' made cigars where the appeal lies. We will be tasting the MUWAT Night Crawler (RRP £16.25) and the Drew Estate UnderCrown Maduro Robusto (RRP £19.80). Joining us live via satellite (on ZOOM) will be Pedro Gomes, the factory spokesperson of Drew Estate who will give us a brief history lesson of Drew Estate and an insight into the inner workings of the brand and product development.
We will also be joined, in the flesh, by Ricardo Carioni who, up until recently, was the Nicaraguan Ambassador to the UK before joining TOR-Imports. For those of you who have met Ricardo (either virtually or in-person), you will know that he is a lovely warm character who is so passionate about everything Nicaraguan. Ricardo loves his cigars too, so he will have plenty to talk about.
We will also be joined by Mateo OrtizLima (it might be virtual or in-person we don't know yet!), who will be on hand to discuss the Flor De Cana Rum. Mateo joined us on one of our virtual events last autumn and won the prize for the best-dressed person on the night as he turned up in a top hat and tails! We can't promise such sophistication at this event, however, we can promise an in-depth discussion on the all-important Flor De Cana Rum.
Finally, we can't forget Helen Groome, also of TOR-Imports who helped set up the event and will also be joining us on the night.
This promises to be a fantastic and very informative evening and is one you definitely don't want to miss. It will be held at our favourite new venue, Thea Caffea on Low Pavement here in Nottingham and is priced at £30 per head. Click it and book it now, as numbers will be capped for this event.
DELIVERY
UK delivery
We use Royal Mail which normally arrives the next working day if you order before 2pm, although this is not guaranteed. To guarantee that your order does arrive by 1pm the next day please call the shop on 01159 110555 to arrange. Your order will be then sent out by Special Delivery. There will be a small extra additional charge for this service. The standard delivery cost is shown in the basket page and in the checkout.
Click and collect
You can click and collect from our Nottingham shop. Select click and colllect in the checkout to save the delivery cost, pay online prices (which can sometimes be lower) and check your items are available before heading into town.
Pre delivery check
We check all cigars before they are sent out. Loose cigars are packaged in a humi-pouch designed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Packets of cigars are opened to check that the cigars are in the correct condition, re-sealed then sent using a special padded envelope.

Delivery outside the UK
For all delivery destinations outside of the UK - although your order is not subject to UK VAT it will be subject to the local taxes and duties of your country. These charges are usually levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you will need to contact your local customs office if you require further information.
